Now, as much as I don't like to beg.....I'm begging anyone who is reading my blog right now to please comment on this one.
I know that this is going to seem like THE stupidest question EVER but I'm just really curious of how everyone thinks of this.
My husband and his family up in Canada always refer to turning a light on or off as "opening" or "closing" a light. So, I'm am asking the general public if when they enter or exit a room they either A. turn on or off the light B. open or close the light
C. either, because you use both expressions.

I had never heard the " open or close" a light phrase!?! Definitely turn on/off her in Maryland!
So funny you say that. In my family we all say turn off/on, however, my Israeli father closes/opens the light. I chuckled when I read your post.
I myself "turn out" or "turn on" a light, but I live in an area where folks either "outen" or "offen" a light. Crazy Pennsylvania.
Definitely on or off!
Thanks for commenting on my blog too!
